This sign stands outfront one of the many boarded up pubs in Huddersfield but was also a sign of how my 365 project would go.
On only day 4 I was struggling for ideas.
A side effect of taking a photograph every day, at least for me anyway, was that I become reluctant to spend the entire day taking hundreds of photographs as I had done before the project. My goal every day was to find one photograph that I could attach to the project. Anything more was surplus and, especially if I was close to home, might mean I was using up a future potential shot unnecessarily.
There isn't really any reason why I shouldn't take lots of shots, for the fun of doing it, but once I had my one shot I tended to lose focus.
As I was only going out for one shot it also meant I was reluctant to travel too far from home or take a day-trip to especially picturesque.
The effect of all this would be many random drives through Huddersfield and the surrounding areas looking for inspiration. Day 4 was my first random drive, each mile bringing more frustration as I couldn't find anything to photograph.
