New Toys

I'm not generally one for gadgets, especially when it comes to photography. I just can't bring myself to spend money on gear when I know I can still get more out of the kit that I have.

I have made an exception today though. Today I recieved a set of macro extension tubes.

All lenses seem expensive, especially in these economic times, so I haven't really looked into macro lenses before but at under a tenner these tubes seemed worth a punt. These will give the option of taking macro shots by moving the lens significantly further away from the camera, although auto focus and apperture control will be turned off as the remove the connection between lens and camera, so expect my photoblog to contain some close ups of things in the near future.
